Sergio Vannini , the 62-year-old craftsman from Bono who lost his life on 29 January in Buddusò after falling from the roof of an agricultural shed on which he was carrying out work for a maintenance company, died after hitting his head on the edge of the truck on which it fell .

The cause of death was confirmed by the autopsy carried out this morning at the Sassari Institute of Forensic Medicine, ordered by the deputy prosecutor, Giovanni Porcheddu.

As confirmed by the medical examiner's examination and by the elements found on site by the Carabinieri and Spresal inspectors, Vannini fell from the roof, from a height of approximately 6 metres, and fell onto a truck parked inside the warehouse.

For his death, the Sassari Prosecutor's Office has entered the owner of the agricultural company that owns the shed where the tragedy occurred and Vannini's employer in the register of suspects .

The two are charged with the crime of manslaughter for failure to comply with safety measures at work.
