The disruption ended this afternoon when the lane of State Road 195 affected by work on the Tecnocasic pipeline was opened to traffic, putting an end to the three-day disruption suffered by thousands of motorists.

Residents, commuters, and tourists alike breathe a sigh of relief: the Sulcis highway, which had been closed to traffic from the Sa Cardiga and Su Schironi roundabouts to the one dividing the Capoterra and Sarroch districts, is now passable in both directions.

Heavy vehicles will still have to wait a few more days: as soon as the section where workers intervened to repair the huge pipeline that carries raw water to the Saras refinery is paved, trucks will also be able to circulate.
