Baunei, slips and hits the back: climber rescued by helicopter

Intervention by the National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps (CNSAS) for the recovery of a climber who had been injured in the Municipality of Baunei , near the Uttolo crag.

The man, of Italian nationality, was facing a climbing route when he slipped hitting his back and arm.

The Alghero-based air ambulance was on site, which requested the support of the Alpine Rescue teams to recover the stretcher.

Six technicians from the Ogliastra station intervened, who reached the injured person and assisted the medical team. The patient was thus stabilized, packed up and transported in a sedan chair to the point where the helicopter was waiting for him to be transported to the hospital.
