Accident at work in Bari Sardo .
An impresario from Villagrande, Donato Orrù, 35, was injured on a construction site near the tower . The man, who was allegedly hit by some materials, is in stable but serious condition.
He was rescued by 118 personnel and immediately afterwards transported by the Areus helicopter to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari. He is now hospitalized in the intensive care unit.
The construction site had been opened for interventions on the collection of rainwater. According to the first reconstructions, the contractor, whose company had won a contract from the municipality, was on site this morning for an inspection . While he was below street level, inside an excavation, one of the bulkheads that delimit the cavity gave way and overwhelmed him: the 35-year-old was buried under the rubble and soil .
The carabinieri are investigating the dynamics of the accident while the men from the Spresal of the Nuoro ASL are at work to ascertain any negligence in terms of safety and prevention on the construction site.
