Santa Giusta, a retired policeman foils a bank robbery. A bandit arrested, his accomplice on the run

Attempted robbery this morning in Santa Giusta.

According to initial information, two men armed with guns and with their faces covered broke into the branch of the Bank of Arborea, looking for loot.

But the attack went badly: in fact, a retired policeman was present in the institute at the time and managed to raise the alarm. At that point the marshal of the local police station intervened on the spot and then also his colleagues, who arrested one of the two bandits, a 65-year-old from Serrenti, Antonio Marras, already known to the police.

The accomplice instead managed to escape on foot, but the military - who also recovered the car - a BMW - used by the robbers - are already on his trail.
