Greater attention from the police and an increase in cameras to guarantee the protection of the Porto Torres area . This is the outcome of the summit in the prefecture in Sassari , where this morning the prefect Grazia La Fauci convened the provincial Committee for Public Order and Security.

The meeting, agreed with the mayor Massimo Mulas, present at the meeting, was attended by the extraordinary administrator of the Province Pietro Fois, the Police Commissioner of Sassari Claudio Sanfilippo, the provincial commander of the Carabinieri Massimiliano Pricchiazzi, the provincial commander of the Guardia di Finanza Stefano Rebechesu and a delegate from the mayor of Sassari.

At the center is the issue of arson, which occurred in Porto Torres last April 30th to the detriment of " Sangalli Giancarlo & Co ", a company which from January 1st took over the management of the 18 million euro urban waste disposal service , due of which 11 waste compactors called "porters" and a truck, 12 vehicles all owned by the company, were destroyed.

“The level of attention on the part of the police forces will increase,” said Mayor Mulas at the end of the meeting. «We as an administration have presented a further project to the Police Headquarters and the Prefecture on the increase of 64 cameras, in addition to the 130 already existing ».
