New chapter in the judicial affair linked to the murder of Davide Unida, which occurred in Luras in July 2023. The Court of Review of Sassari has revoked the precautionary custody measure in prison against Fabio Malu, the 32-year-old worker from Luras accused of having killed his rival Davide Unida by hitting him with the handle of a vacuum cleaner.

The judges of the Review Court have deemed the requests of Malu's defense attorney, criminal lawyer Giampaolo Murrighile, to be well-founded. Malu has been ordered to be under house arrest and will be released from Sassari prison immediately. The Review Court's decision adds to the other chapters of a complicated story that is far from over.

The Unida murder took place in July 2023, a year later Fabio Malu was released due to the expiration of the terms of the precautionary measure. Some prohibitions were imposed on him, in particular that of leaving the house during the night hours. On January 9th the man was arrested in the courtroom during the Gup hearing because, according to the prosecutor Alessandro Bosco, he had not respected the prohibitions imposed by the Court. Malu immediately returned to his cell in Bancali.

But the defense attorney Giampaolo Murrighile challenges the Tempio magistrates' order and claims that his client was out of the house because a family member had sent him away. The Review Court accepted, albeit partially, the arguments of Malu's defense attorney.
