Yesterday's fire in Sant'Elia was not an accident but a real arson attack.
This is what emerged from the investigations of the Carabinieri of the Cagliari Mobile Radio Section, who arrested a man for arson and domestic abuse.
The alarm was raised last night and the military intervened together with two firefighter teams: the flames had engulfed an apartment on the seventh floor of a condominium.
No one was injured, and once the fire was extinguished, an investigation began. The Carabinieri confirmed that shortly beforehand, the 54-year-old, unemployed and already known to the police, had set fire to his partner's house after she refused to give him money.
The suspect was located in the same building and taken to the police station. Then, as ordered by the judicial authorities, he was taken to Uta.
