A head-on collision occurred this afternoon in Macchiareddu, in the Assemini area. Two people were injured. Emergency ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

The most seriously injured person, a 54-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to the Brotzu emergency room with a red code for chest and head trauma. The driver of the other car, a 49-year-old man, was transported to the Policlinico Hospital with a yellow code.

The intervention of the fire department was also necessary. Law enforcement is currently investigating the incident to reconstruct the circumstances of the accident and determine any responsibilities.
