The story of soldier Adolfo Riatto, born in 1917, who was stationed in Sardinia during the Second World War, has a happy ending. His dog tag was found last October in Arborea. It was Andrea who recovered it about 300 meters from the sea, who after the initial searches decided to publish a post on a Facebook page, that of the group "You are from Pianiga if..." because the soldier was originally from Pianiga, as we read on the plate which bore, engraved on copper, the writing "1917 Riatto Adolfo di Giovanni and Dedani Emma - Pianiga Venezia".

The inhabitants of the small town, once they read the announcement on the social network, immediately mobilized and within minutes Adolfo's relatives responded. Once contact was initiated with Andrea, the shipment was agreed and finally the soldier's children received that precious envelope containing the memory of their father.

As they reported on Facebook, the emotion was great, also because in the Arborea area Adolfo had met his wife, who in turn had come from the province of Mantua, like many families, for the reclamation.

Now Adolfo's story, which began in Pianiga and passed through Sardinia, has ended again in his country of origin.
