In a letter addressed to ENAS (Sardinia's Water Authority), San Vito Mayor Marco Antonio Siddi requested a significant release of water from the Flumendosa Dam to replenish the dry aquifers. This request is related to the water shortage encountered along the Flumendosa River, but also to meet similar requests from residents and agricultural and livestock farms who are experiencing a truly difficult time due to the drought that has affected the area for weeks.
In his letter, Mayor Siddi emphasized the need for immediate action on the application, given the critical issues facing the agricultural and livestock production sector in the Basso Flumendosa area.
"The situation is worrying," says Mayor Marco Antonio Siddi, "the requests coming from the agricultural and livestock sectors cannot go unheard."
