First on board, then everyone on the ground: a "technical check" on the Aerotalia plane, disruption in Cagliari

A "precautionary technical check" caused the delay of the Aeroitalia flight scheduled to depart this morning at 7:30 a.m. from Cagliari to Fiumicino.
The passengers were already on board when the cockpit announced that the aircraft needed to be evacuated. Everyone was disembarked and given two options: wait for the checks to be completed and reboard the same plane, or be re-protected on the next one.
Those who chose to wait, a statement from the company explains, "regularly departed on the same aircraft, which was operational within minutes. The delay occurred due to the need to disembark and re-embark baggage." The expected takeoff took place at 9:50 a.m. Meanwhile, passengers received assistance from Sogaerdyn staff.
In the evening, further disruptions occurred at Elmas, but not on scheduled flights. Passengers were boarded—one of the affected flights was Ryanair's Cagliari-Ciampino— but waits on the tarmac exceeded half an hour due to "international slot congestion," SOGAER explained. In short, people fly a lot in the summer, and even a small amount of dust can cause the system to collapse.
