The Tempio Pausania Public Prosecutor's Office has filed serious charges against Michael Brundu, Giuliano Petta, and Alex Russo . According to prosecutors, the three young men, all from Olbia, are responsible for the beating that cost the life of Argentine Miguel Angel Paez.

The preliminary hearing of the suspects concluded in the early afternoon before investigating judge Alessandro Cossu. The three denied the charge of voluntary manslaughter. Specifically, Alex Russo (assisted by criminal lawyer Cristina Cherchi) denied entering the apartment on Via Marche where the Argentinean was beaten to a pulp on February 3, 2024.

The Tempio Prosecutor's Office, in light of the results of the forensic examination of the victim's body, has requested prison sentences for the three young men. The defense (Adriano Catte, Eleonora Bianco, and Cristina Cherchi) are now awaiting the preliminary investigations judge's decision.

Miguel Angel Paez died in a hospital in Olbia last December, after ten months of agony. He was reportedly struck on the head with a blunt object.
