Illegal slots and smuggled cigarettes.

Blitz by officials of the Customs and Monopolies Agency in two shops, one in Sestu and the other in Cagliari.

In Sestu, in a shop where gaming takes place regularly, electronic cigarettes and other smoking accessory products not authorized for sale by the Agency were displayed to the public in a display case. The officials decided to investigate and, once they opened some drawers under the counter and searched a small room, they found several contraband cigarettes whose origins the merchant was unable to indicate . All the material has been seized and, following the quantification, administrative or criminal sanctions will be applied.

In Cagliari, on the other hand, nine illegal slots were seized in another shop recently visited by Agency officials, disconnected from the computer network and without authorisations. For the manager , a fine of 99 thousand euros : in the event of non-payment, the closure of the financial year will start from 30 to 60 days.
