Heavy damage was also caused to a boat shed in the artisan area of the town: five boats outside the shed were destroyed for a value of several hundred thousand euros. The most affected area was the village of Monte Longu: houses destroyed by the fire, gardens incinerated and parked vehicles, agricultural and commercial activities burned down.

The mayor of Posada , Salvatore Ruiu, has never had any doubts about the malicious origin of the fire and has announced a complaint to the Nuoro prosecutor's office . The mayor has already declared a state of natural disaster.
