Fear struck around 7pm today on state highway 125. A young man from Urzulei lost control of his Lancia Ypsilon which, for reasons currently under investigation, overturned on the road.
The accident occurred near Silana, just ahead of the statue of the Madonna. Volunteers from the Urzulei PAVS emergency services and the 118 ambulance from Lanusei responded quickly to the scene.
The intervention of the Tortolì firefighters was crucial in extracting the young man trapped inside the vehicle . The boy was then entrusted to the care of medical personnel who transported him to the hospital.
