A dozen former students from the Gino Zappa Technical and Commercial Institute in Isili met yesterday, 50 years after graduation . A reunion to commemorate an important milestone and reminisce about the many years spent apart .

An idea that came about by chance, while looking at a photo or simply doing the math and discovering a round number. The eleven former students met at a restaurant in Isili for lunch, during which they took a step back in time , returning to the classrooms of the institute's branch, near the Santa Cruz cinema.

At that time, there were too many students to fit into the main building, and some sections were inevitably moved to other facilities, even private ones.

In the afternoon , the small group also visited an elderly professor, Giuseppe Donato, an English teacher, perhaps the only one still alive, filled with emotion and tears.
