He was found in Sassari with 2 kg of hashish, reacted, and sent a finance officer to the hospital. A 19-year-old from Friuli who had been living in the city for a few months was arrested in Bancali today after yesterday's arrest by the military.

Finance police had identified a package arriving from Spain, containing 1.5 kg of narcotics, which was supposed to be delivered by courier to a newsstand. But the person who went to pick it up told the officers he was unaware of the contents and had been given the task by a young man.

Law enforcement officers then began searching for the young man, who was quickly identified. When, in his absence, they searched his room in the apartment he shares with other young men, the financial police found another 500 grams of hashish, packaging materials, and a set of scales.

The 19-year-old was later found elsewhere, and as soon as the finance police tried to stop him, he reacted violently, injuring a soldier and attempting to destroy his phone before being handcuffed.

Today in court, at the validation hearing, he faced charges of drug possession with intent to sell and resisting a public officer, represented by lawyers Dario Piu and Lorenzo De Stefani. Prosecutor Giovanni Dore had requested the precautionary prison sentence, which Judge Sara Pelicci ordered at the end of the deliberation.
