The "Day of National Unity and the Armed Forces" is celebrated on November 6th in Sinnai in the presence of the Sassari Brigade Band, with the commemoration of the fallen in war .

The schedule of events has already been set, with the public, various associations, and officials expected to gather in Piazza Chiesa at 9:30 a.m. At 10 a.m., a Mass will be celebrated in remembrance of the fallen. It will be officiated by the new parish priest of Santa Barbara, Father Balu. At 11 a.m., the procession will form and head to the Remembrance Park on Via Piave. This will be followed by the flag-raising ceremony, a prayer for the fallen, the laying of the laurel wreath, a speech by Mayor Barbara Pusceddu, and a visit to the monument. The Honor Guard and the Brigata Sassari marching band will participate. Citizens, families of the fallen, and school children will be in attendance.

At the conclusion of this first phase of the ceremony, the Honorary Committee, Mayor Pusceddu, and the military authorities will move to the "Piazza Milite Ignoto" on Via Marconi to lay a laurel wreath . These will be moving moments, remembering the numerous fallen soldiers of Sinnai in the First and Second World Wars.

The 151st Regiment of the Sassari Brigade was born in Sinnai. In the 1980s, the Municipality dedicated a square in the Sant'Isidoro district to it, from where the soldiers of the Brigade departed in 1915. Originally composed only of Sardinians, the unit distinguished itself in the First World War for its courage and skill in close combat , so much so that the Austrians called it "devils" (hence the motto and the name "Dimonios"). ).

Every year, the Municipality of Sinnai celebrates the anniversary of the regiment's founding (the 111th anniversary took place in March 2026) with official ceremonies, honor guards, and the participation of the Sassari Brigade Band. Today, the regiment's operational headquarters is located at the Monfenera Barracks in Cagliari.
