The energy security of Sardinia and Italy is at the center of debate among institutions, businesses, and industry experts. This is the theme of the conference sponsored by Saras , "The Global Context and Saras' Role in the Energy Security of Italy and Sardinia," scheduled for next Monday in Room 1 of the T-Hotel in Cagliari.

The event will begin at 10:00 a.m., after registration begins at 9:30 a.m., and will offer an opportunity to discuss the energy sector's prospects at a time of profound international transformation, including geopolitical tensions, security of supply, and the transition to new production models.

The meeting will be opened by Saras CEO Franco Balsamo. This will be followed by remarks from the company's president, Clive Christison, who will analyze the global energy context, and Davide Tabarelli, president of Nomisma Energia, who will explore Saras's strategic role in national and regional energy security. The topic of electricity infrastructure will also be addressed with a presentation by Guido Marice, partner of Key to Energy, on the adequacy and security of the Sardinian electricity grid.

The second part of the morning will be dedicated to two roundtable discussions. The first, "Focus Oil," moderated by Tabarelli, will feature Salvatore Deidda, Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies' Transport Committee; Barbara Manca, Regional Councilor for Transport; Gianni Murano, President of Unem; Giuseppe Ricci, Chief Operating Officer for Industrial Transformation at Eni; and Franco Balsamo, CEO of Saras.

This will be followed by "Focus Power," dedicated to the prospects for Sardinia's electricity and industrial system. The discussion will include Emanuele Cani, Regional Councilor for Industry; Aurelio Regina, Vice President of Confindustria for Energy; Guido Bortoni, President Emeritus of Arera; Giulio Marice of Key to Energy; and Enrico Giglioli, Head of New Initiatives and Renewable Energy at Saras.

The closing remarks will be delivered by the President of the Sardinia Region, Alessandra Todde, and the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin.

The event aims to provide an opportunity to delve into the strategies needed to ensure energy security, industrial competitiveness, and sustainable development, issues of particular importance for Sardinia in light of the choices that will affect the island's energy future.
