A soldier from the Sassari Brigade rescued a tourist in distress at sea .

It happened yesterday afternoon in Porto Alabe, in the Tresnuraghes area, where Sergeant Major Adjutant Massimo Deligia was on vacation with his family.

The soldier, who serves in the 45th Command and Tactical Support Unit "Reggio" of the "Sassari" Brigade, noticed the man in distress and immediately intervened . With the help of several beachgoers, he used a lifebelt and a rope to reach and rescue him . Once the tourist, a German citizen, was brought back to shore, the Sassari native administered first aid and assisted him until medical personnel arrived.

Shortly afterwards , two ambulances and the Coast Guard arrived on the scene.

The tourist was entrusted to the care of medical personnel, while the Coast Guard collected the necessary evidence to reconstruct the events.
