The 49-year-old Sassari native suspected of robbing a supermarket on July 17th on Via degli Astronauti in Sassari has been placed under house arrest. The man was arrested on August 13th by the Flying Squad , who had identified him through employee testimonies and by reviewing surveillance cameras in the area.

According to the charges, the suspect threatened those present with a gun and forced them to hand over the contents of the register. Before leaving, according to store workers, he apologized for what he had done . The 49-year-old, represented by lawyer Paolo Spano, pleaded not guilty and had no involvement in the matter during pre-trial hearings. However, investigating judge Gian Paolo Piana ordered his house arrest.
