A public mourning ceremony was held in Solanas for the funeral of Michela Rubiu . This morning , the final farewell was said to the 47-year-old woman killed with a gunshot to the back of the head by her husband, Alessandro Pintus, who then fatally shot her brother, Andrea.

A large crowd gathered at the Church of the Madonna della Fiducia in Solanas , where the ceremony began at 10:30 a.m. Many people had to wait in the churchyard.

During the ceremony, Father Diego Zanda recalled the 25 days that had passed since the terrible attack, hoping that Michela would wake up , "that a miracle would come." Today, only the pain of a tragedy "whose causes are still unknown."

In the front row of the church was Sinnai's mayor, Maria Barbara Pusceddu . Michela's mother, brother, and all her family members stood by her coffin.

After the mass, the body was transferred to Sinnai for burial in the old cemetery of Baccu Narboni.
