Anti-drug raid by the Falcons: two arrests and €16,000 seized . The Cagliari Flying Squad stopped a suspicious car; a subsequent house search revealed doses of drugs ready for sale and cash. The operation took place yesterday morning as part of a program aimed at combating drug trafficking. The Flying Squad arrested two men, aged 49 and 29, respectively, caught red-handed for possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
This is the result of an investigation conducted in Elmas by the Falcons of the Cagliari Police Headquarters , who were monitoring the suspicious movements of a car. The officers decided to intervene and ordered the driver to stop. A subsequent personal search led to the discovery of several doses of narcotics, ready for sale, hidden in the clothing of both the driver and another passenger in the vehicle.
The investigations were extended to their homes. Inside the driver's home, the officers discovered and seized the bulk of the drugs, contained in several packages and already divided into doses, and approximately €16,000 in cash , likely the proceeds of the illegal activity. The two suspects were taken to the Police Headquarters: they are now under house arrest , awaiting a fast-track trial.
