Ales, a horse falls into a canal: rescued by helicopter by firefighters

A horse was rescued this morning by the Fire Brigade helicopter in Ales : it had fallen into a canal over two metres deep in the countryside outside the town.

The alarm was raised shortly after 7:30 this morning, when the operations room received the distress call. The team from the Ales detachment was dispatched to the scene. After assessing the situation, there was no other option: the intervention of the Drago helicopter from Alghero Fertilia was essential.

The animal, followed by the veterinarian throughout the rescue process, was recovered from the rugged area and entrusted to the specialist's care.

Despite the fall, the horse's health is good.
