San Teodoro, flames in the fish market: "It's an attack"

The fire that seriously damaged a San Teodoro fish shop on Saturday evening was certainly arson.

The restaurant, "Pescheria Sapori di mare", is located a short distance from the town center and inside was found a tank of agricultural diesel and several rags soaked in the flammable liquid .

The alarm was raised around 9.15 pm by a girl who happened to be in the apartment just above the club , which is not inhabited these days. A coincidence that prevented the place from being completely destroyed.

The intervention of the Siniscola Fire Brigade was immediate, and it took them over half an hour to put out the blaze and make the surrounding buildings safe.

From the first surveys carried out by the Carabinieri of San Teodoro, the arson origin immediately emerged , the floor was completely invaded by diesel .

The thieves entered through the back entrance. In a very short time, the electrical systems, refrigerated counters, air conditioners, scales and various furnishings that were inside the kitchen laboratory and in the sales area went up in smoke and were melted by the heat .

The owner, Tiziano del Vecchio, who has been running the family business for 5 years, is incredulous. "We are very sorry and cannot understand what happened, in recent years we have never had problems with anyone ".
