The dynamics of the accident which occurred yesterday in the late afternoon in Quartu which cost the life of Roberto Massa , 53, has been reconstructed at least in part.

The man, owner of a drain cleaning company, deacon and collaborator of the parish of Sant'Elena for years, was traveling on his motorbike when, at the crossroads between via Cagliari and via Livorno, he collided with a Citroen, perhaps due to a lack of precedence.

The two-wheeler skidded and Massa ended up on the ground, remaining lifeless. The driver of the car was in shock and immediately called for help.

When the ambulance arrived on site, there was nothing that could be done for the motorcyclist.

The tragedy aroused great condolences in the city where the man was well known and esteemed: «A good boy who had a great capacity for dialogue with young people, we are heartbroken, it is a huge loss for the basilica and for the whole city even in consideration of the great work that Roberto did in the oratory", said the mayor Graziano Milia.
