«From the depths of my pain I am horrified at the awareness of some of our fellow citizens who have committed silence, those who have seen, investigated or accomplices, hoping to get away with it. Cleanse your soul if you have a shred of humanity left. We cannot allow dangerous people to circulate freely knowing that they could do harm again."

Eleonora, sister of Mario Sedda, the 39-year-old found lifeless on the evening of April 1, 2021 in Porto Torres, launches yet another appeal. He was killed with a knife, a ceramic blade stuck in his cheekbone. Thus his body was found, hidden behind a bush in a green area at the entrance to the city.

Now that the Sassari Prosecutor's Office and the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office have entered three other people from Porto Torres in the register of suspects, on the accusation «of having caused the death of Mario Sedda by hitting and wounding him with a cutting weapon», Eleonora Sedda awaits justice and hopes that light can be shed on the murder case, three years later still without a culprit.

On Tuesday 30 January, house searches began in the homes of the three suspects - two men aged 32 and 35 and a young man aged 19, a minor at the time of the events - carried out by the soldiers of the provincial command of the Carabinieri of Sassari. Following the searches, the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Operational Department of the Carabinieri seized computers, smartphones and electronic devices which will be subjected to a computer assessment to look for elements useful for the investigations. A possible turning point in a complex case that dates back to about three years ago.
