More cars on fire overnight in Alghero. This time the fires affected the Sant'Agostino neighborhood, where two cars parked on different streets were almost completely destroyed. The incidents occurred almost simultaneously on Via Cravellet and Via Foradada. Firefighters responded to the scene, extinguishing the blaze and securing the area. Their rapid response prevented the flames from spreading to other vehicles parked nearby.

Law enforcement is currently investigating the incident, tasked with clarifying the origin of the two fires and verifying any possible connection between the incidents. The near-simultaneity of the fires fuels suspicions of arson. The possibility of an act of intimidation has not been ruled out at this time. This is yet another incident involving cars being targeted at night, a phenomenon investigators are currently working to fully understand.

Brothers of Italy

"Alghero cannot continue to witness incidents like this and resign itself to commenting on them the next day," commented the city coordination of the Brothers of Italy party.

"When similar incidents occur in the city, especially just hours after the discovery of a crude explosive device on the ring road, we must remain extremely vigilant." The party is therefore calling for a greater presence of the institutions and for increased local surveillance and controls in the areas considered most sensitive. Fratelli d'Italia also recalls the proposals put forward on the security front: from increasing local police numbers to incentives for businesses to use private security and guard services, to the establishment of Neighborhood Watch groups. "These are different tools, but they all point in the same direction: increasing local presence, preventing crime, and making life more difficult for those who think they can strike undisturbed."
