The unified public competition managed by Ares Sardegna for the permanent hiring of nurses in the Regional Health Service has concluded with 396 successful candidates on the rankings of the six participating companies. This process provides companies with new professional resources and is part of a broader initiative launched by the Region, together with Ares, to structurally strengthen the Sardinian healthcare workforce.

For Brotzu, in particular, given the 40 positions originally advertised, the company asked Ares to proceed with the entire ranking and hire all 121 eligible nurses.

The calls will be launched in the next few days and the new professionals will be assigned to the various departments and services of Arnas, contributing to strengthening its staff and supporting the healthcare activity.

The competition, announced by Ares on May 7, initially envisaged 90 permanent positions, divided as follows: 40 at ARNAS G. Brotzu and 10 each at the Sulcis, Nuoro, Oristano, Ogliastra and Gallura ASL.

The rankings approved at the end of the procedure significantly expand the pool of professionals available to companies.

In addition to the 121 eligible candidates in the Brotzu ranking, there are 15 in the ASL Sulcis ranking, 81 in the ASL Nuoro, 81 in the ASL Oristano, 41 in the ASL Ogliastra and 57 in the ASL Gallura, for a total of 396 eligible candidates.

The conclusion of the competition represents a further step in the process of strengthening the Regional Health Service's workforce. The Region is implementing several tools: planning company needs, accelerating the competitive examination procedures managed by Ares, using and reviewing ranking lists, and implementing the new procedures established by the Special Hiring Plan approved by the Regional Council.

"The outcome of this competition provides us with an important result that exceeds the 90 positions initially envisaged," commented Governor and interim Health Councilor Alessandra Todde . "The rankings currently provide 396 eligible professionals to companies, and Brotzu has already chosen to fully utilize this opportunity, moving from the 40 hires initially envisaged to requesting the inclusion of all 121 nurses on its ranking."

"This is exactly the direction we want to go," the president continues, " rapidly utilize all available resources and, at the same time, structurally increase the number of professionals in the Regional Health Service . Staffing shortages cannot be addressed simply by moving doctors and nurses from one facility to another. We must inject new resources into the system, strengthening hospitals, emergency rooms, and community care together."

The recently concluded competition precedes the Extraordinary Plan for 1,500 hires, having been announced by Ares on May 7th, but is part of the same strategy of structurally strengthening the workforce pursued by the Region . The new hires envisaged in the Extraordinary Plan will therefore be added to the procedures already underway and the progress of the rankings, with the aim of expanding the overall staff availability and supporting the strengthening of the hospital and community network of the Regional Health Service.
