Sedilo, driving a car without lights on the 131 DCN, fails to stop at a police checkpoint: tracked down and reported

A reckless car ride with the headlights off.

The incident occurred on the night between Thursday and Friday last week: the car was traveling on the 131 DCN without lights , in the Sedilo area. It drove twenty kilometers, heedless of the risks, until the Carabinieri signaled for it in the darkness. In response, however, the driver, a 47-year-old local man, stepped on the accelerator even harder, didn't stop at the patrol's checkpoint, and continued on his way . Once inside the town, he drove another round of the narrow streets, then abandoned the car in the countryside and managed to disappear .

The officers, who had meanwhile begun the pursuit, continued their search and shortly thereafter located the vehicle. Thanks in part to surveillance footage, they were able to track down the person responsible for the car chase.

The man was reported for reckless evasion and driving without a license, and was fined.
