Porto Torres, car on fire in Piazza Luzzati: fear among residents

Fire in front of the petrol station in via Mare in Porto Torres . A car was set on fire for reasons yet to be ascertained.

The flames alarmed the residents who reported the emergency situation to 115. It happened in Piazza Luzzati, in the residential housing district.

Firefighters rushed to the spot to douse the flames. Also present is the owner of the old car, a long-parked and unused Opel Corsa since 2020.

A short circuit is assumed, but other causes of the fire cannot be excluded. From the windows, the frightened residents shouted for help and asked for the intervention of the police to investigate the incident.
