Another day of fire in Sardinia . There are 20 fires that broke out today on the Island, three of which required the intervention of the regional fleet's aircraft.

Among the various reports, the flames broke out in the countryside of the municipality of Uta, in the Gora Acqua Frisca area , affecting a field cultivated with olive trees . The extinguishing operations were coordinated by the personnel of the Forestry Station together with the personnel of the Forestry Corps on board the helicopter coming from Pula. Also present on site were the volunteers of Assemini and the barracelli of Uta.

Fire also in the countryside of Mamoiada, where the staff of the forestry corps was engaged in the coordination and extinguishing of a fire in an agricultural area, with flames that broke out near the town. A regional helicopter from Farcana (Nuoro) was also in flight.

Massive fire also in the countryside of San Giovanni Suergiu, in the Is Urigus area, where the staff of the Forestry Corps of the Sant'Antioco and Carbonia Station are coordinating the extinguishing operations. Three regional helicopters from Villasalto, Pula and Lanusei arrived on site and the air assistance of two Canadairs was requested. To contain the spread of the flames that are threatening the town, the intervention of numerous teams of volunteers from all over Sulcis was necessary. As a precaution, about one hundred people were evacuated.
