Fatal accident on the 554 , towards Quartu just after the Emanuela Loi bridge at the Monserrato and Sestu junction .
Two cars involved and a truck. The victim is a 37-year-old young man, Angelo Pinna, from Orani: he died instantly . The man had a roadside assistance company. The body was extracted from the wreckage by the firefighters, while the drivers of one of the two cars and the truck ended up in the hospital.
Nothing official about the dynamics. However, there is talk of a chain clash that could have been favored by a rear-end collision.
The men of the local police of Monserrato are operating on the spot coordinated by the commander Massimiliano Zurru and the carabinieri of Monserrato and Quartu who deal with the traffic. The inconvenience was very heavy with a river of cars being diverted onto other roads to avoid the plug created by the accident which took place around 1pm.
