The "offshore geomorphological investigations" continue in the sea of Sardinia for the construction of the Tyrrhenian Link, Terna's submarine cable which will connect Sardinia to Sicily to - this is the ultimate objective - export part of the immense quantity of electricity which will be produced by the wind and photovoltaic plants that are intended to be placed throughout the island.
There is a new ordinance from the Coast Guard of Cagliari which from last May until 15 July creates a buffer zone around the Artabro and Nautilus snows, «engaged in marine survey activities» on behalf of Poliservizi Srl which in turn is appointed by Terna.
The stretch of sea closest to the affected island is the one off Capo Carbonara, in Villasimius, to reach Terra Mala, in Quartu, the landing area of the Tyrrhenian Link, which will then continue up to the exchange station under construction in the campaigns of Selargius.
