Clean-up operations have begun in the countryside of Giave , in the locality of Campu de Olta, where another twenty hectares on the border with Bonorva ended up in ashes in the fire that broke out in the afternoon.
A small hill near the fire that, on Sunday 15 and Monday 16 June, had destroyed hectares of countryside and wheat fields in the Bonorva area. Three helicopters operated once again, two of which departed from the Anela and Farcana base, and a Super Puma intervened to close the operations to put out the flames , which had become dangerous due to the wind. All vehicles of the Forestry Corps that put out the fire supported by the Forestas teams.
Another fire also developed in the Padrunaggiu area, in Sorso , with vehicles from the Forestry and Forestas and with the support of the local barracellare company. Also at work are the fire brigade teams from the provincial command of Sassari.
