Over 200 fines, 26 crime reports, and over 1,500 services throughout the region.

This is the summary of the work carried out by the Sardinian Forestry Corps during the 2025 summer surveillance campaign.

Surveillance activity focused on two main fronts: coastal areas and inland areas.

Overall, the checks resulted in over 200 administrative fines and 26 reports of crimes related to abandonment and illegal waste management, camping and illegal occupation, parking in protected areas, violations relating to sport and professional fishing, and sand theft .

"Our commitment isn't limited to the summer season," said Forestry Corps Commander Gianluca Cocco. "Despite a very intense firefighting season, the Forestry Corps is active on multiple fronts to ensure legality and protection of the territory. Environmental protection is an ongoing effort that we carry out for the good of our island."
