Hundreds of people in Iglesias at the nineteenth Sardinian March for Peace .

For the traditional appointment that generally takes place in Sardinia, between Gesturi and Laconi, this year, by the will of the Sardinian Table of Peace, the city of Iglesias has been chosen . Many students, children, workers, trade unions, pensioners responded to the organizers' invitation, all with the same message to be shouted out loud: no to war.

The mining town was chosen, the organizers said, also for the purpose of highlighting and supporting the local movement for self-development and the promotion of the civil economy which has been carrying out numerous activities for peace for years.

The group of demonstrators met in the industrial area of Iglesias and the first stop on the road to peace was in front of the RWM depot, what pacifists call the "bomb factory" and which has been at the center of their battles for years .

Battles that, especially now with an ongoing war in the heart of Europe, they have every intention of continuing to carry on . The next stage of the caravan of peace will be in the gardens of biodiversity in Iglesias where there are already many people waiting for them waving the colored flags of peace.
