Four people have been reported by the Alghero Financial Police to the Judicial Authority, accused of the crime of trading in counterfeit products and receiving stolen goods , for which very severe penalties are foreseen in addition to the confiscation of the goods which have currently been seized by the military.
The Alghero-based Guardia di Finanza (Fiamme Gialle) has carried out a series of operations to combat the illicit trade in clothing and accessories. The operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 300 items, including handbags, sunglasses, and belts bearing the counterfeit logos of well-known international brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Fendi . The products, displayed for sale by unlicensed vendors, were found in areas of Alghero most frequented by tourists and residents.

Numerous checks were also conducted at city businesses to verify product compliance and safety. In this context, the military seized approximately 22,000 items, including jewelry, costume jewelry, and clothing accessories, which were displayed for sale without proper information regarding quality, product type, and traceability . The legal representatives of these businesses were reported to the Sassari Chamber of Commerce for violating the Consumer Code, resulting in the application of the applicable fines.
The operation is part of the economic and financial control of the territory, carried out by the Guardia di Finanza to combat petty crime. The activities were concentrated in airports and ports, in the historic center of Alghero, and along the seafront.
