Hundreds of marijuana plants found between Cossoine and Romana
A young man, believed to be the one who took care of the plantation, was reported
A marijuana plantation spread over three connected plots of land was discovered by the carabinieri of Bonorva between Cossoine and Romana.
The plants, about 2,900, were fed by a sophisticated irrigation system that started from a nearby sheepfold. Inside, the military identified a young man who was denounced as it is believed that he was the one in charge of the cultivation. To deceive those who saw it, signs had been placed indicating its "light" nature but the chemical tests have ascertained the high value of THC, thus excluding that it was the sativa variant.
The operation, conducted by the Carabinieri of the Bonorva company, together with the Heliported Hunters Squadron of Sardinia, the dog group and the Romana station, allowed to remove from the market a plantation that could have produced about 300-350 kilos of marijuana with a income of 600 thousand-700 thousand euros.
From June to today, the controls have made it possible to seize more than 6,500 marijuana plants.
