The paid parking service on the Quartu stretch of Poetto is nearing its end . As stipulated in the contract, with the official end of the season, Wednesday, September 30th, the seasonal blue-line parking period will also end.

The measure affects not only Poetto, but also the coastal developments at Margine Rosso between Via Ponente, Via Levante, and Via Scirocco, and at Kal'e Moru. Starting October 1st, free parking will be available along the entire seafront . This seafront remains crowded year-round because, even when the beach crowds subside, the many people who frequent Poetto for a run, a walk, or a bit of sport will remain, and they will be able to park their cars without paying a fee to reach the promenade.

Work on the redevelopment of the seafront will continue this autumn, including from Bussola to Cagliari, while work continued in the summer between Lido Mediterraneo and the fountain.

Paid parking will return next season, as usual, from June 1st to September 30th, and it will be seen in due course whether the rates will remain the same. There are just over four hundred blue parking spaces between Poetto and the coast. This year, a free parking area was created in front of the Lido Mediterraneo.
