Guardia di Finanza, the visit of the prefect of Oristano to the Provincial Command
He was welcomed by the Provincial Commander Giancarlo Sulsenti and the Commander of the Naval Air Operations Department of Cagliari, Lieutenant Colonel Francesco Corcelli
The Prefect of Oristano , Dr. Salvatore Angieri , visited the “Fin. MAVM Renzo Atzei” , headquarters of the provincial departments of the Guardia di Finanza .
He was welcomed by the Provincial Commander Giancarlo Sulsenti and the Commander of the Air and Naval Operations Department of Cagliari , Lieutenant Colonel Francesco Corcelli. Angieri attended a briefing during which the organizational chart, the tasks of the departments in the province and the entire land and air-sea system of the Guardia di Finanza present on the island were illustrated.
During the meeting, the exclusive role recognized to the "Sea Police" Corps was also highlighted, with a focus on the specialties which - although "stationed" in other provinces of the Region - are used on initiative for preventive or repressive, at the request of the Authority. The reference is to the Air Service , the Anti-terrorism and Emergency Employment units (so-called “green berets), the dog units , the Guardia di Finanza Alpine Rescue , the Scuba Divers Unit .
The most brilliant results obtained by the Departments in the fields of taxation, the protection of public spending and the fight against economic-financial crime were also illustrated with an in-depth study of the lines of action of the Corps for the purpose of attacking the assets of criminal organizations.
The Provincial Commander then renewed to the Prefect the commitment of the Corps in the controls on the correct use of the funds of the PNRR and the contribution that will be guaranteed to the Territorial Unitary Presidio of support to the local Administrations to carry out specific analyzes aimed at preventing infiltration of crime in the supply chain execution of the financed works.
The Authority has also been provided with a picture of the situation on the assistance ensured by the Guardia di Finanza for the maintenance of public order and safety . The Prefect, before leaving the barracks, wanted to thank the men and women of the Guardia di Finanza for their commitment and daily work to safeguard the legality and safety of citizens.
