A twenty-year-old man from Olbia, with no criminal record, was arrested by Guardia di Finanza personnel following an operation conducted in Spain and Italy. According to prosecutor Milena Aucone, the young man allegedly used a ruse to obtain 4 kg of hashish.
The drugs were shipped from Spain via a courier, and the actual destination was different. Finance police from the Olbia command group were monitoring the movements of several people in Sardinia and Spain. The young man was stopped and arrested as he was about to collect the package containing the narcotics. The Guardia di Finanza (Full Finance Police) searched a building owned by the young man from Olbia and found more drugs, cutting equipment, according to the prosecutor, and a large quantity of cash.
Everything was seized. This morning, the boy, assisted by criminal lawyer Giampaolo Murrighile, appeared before Tempio District Court Judge Tommaso Andorlini, who confirmed the arrest. The person accused of drug possession exercised his right to remain silent.
