A 15-meter Swiss-flagged yacht crashed into the reef off Cala Sabina, in Golfo Aranci. Five people were on board at the time of impact and were not injured.

The cause of the collision—likely an attempt to avoid running aground—is still under investigation. The company, hired by the owner, is already securing the vessel and towing it to a shipyard. Patrols from the Northern Sardinia Maritime Directorate are ready to intervene on site to carry out surveys; the officers have verified the yacht's condition and the absence of any fuel spills.

The accident comes a few days after the sinking of the Angiola II, a 30-meter Amer F100 yacht, in the waters off Porto Cervo, between Cappuccini Island and Capo Ferro. An investigation has been opened into the incident.

Meanwhile, the Amer Yachts shipyard has issued a statement addressing the matter, emphasizing that the vessel "was not new but had been launched in 2020 and had already passed through several owners. Like everyone else," Amer continues, "we are relieved that the passengers and crew are safe, and like everyone else, we are awaiting official investigations. The tanks are structural, double-bottom: if the vessel is removed correctly, there will be no fuel leaks."
