The State Police arrested three men - a thirty-two year old and two thirty-four year olds - accused of being responsible for a series of break-ins at various shops in Quartu Sant'Elena and Cagliari.

The three - all originally from Cagliari, without a fixed abode and known to the police - must answer for aggravated theft.

Their main targets were bars and, above all, pharmacies ( HERE THE NEWS ) from which money and valuables were stolen. The investigators of the Fourth Section of the Flying Squad, together with the agents of the Cagliari Flying Squad and the police officers of the Quartu Sant'Elena Police Station, have reconstructed the various raids (at least thirty) that were always carried out in the middle of the night and that in just four months caused considerable damage to many owners of commercial premises. The latest episode, on the night between Saturday and Sunday, occurred in a restaurant in Quartu.

Also under investigation by investigators is the fire at the bar in Pirri on August 1st, for which the 32-year-old in particular has been investigated.

"The alleged perpetrators of the break-ins - explains the Police Headquarters - often acted together and in the same way: once the window frame that served as the entrance to the shop had been torn down or damaged, they would enter the shop alone or in pairs, quickly raiding the contents of the store, while often one of them acted as a lookout ."

In some cases, multiple episodes were recorded in the same night and within a few hours.

The police traced the three also thanks to the images recorded by the video surveillance systems installed by the owners of the affected commercial establishments.

After their arrest, the three were transferred to Uta prison.
