Driving the wrong way with a trailer in tow on the former provincial road 131, in the direction from Porto Torres to Sassari , risking head-on collisions several times.

It happened this morning around 5:00 a.m., just before dawn near Li Lioni, a small village near Porto Torres. A tourist driving an SUV equipped with a trailer , evidently unfamiliar with Sardinian roads and ignoring the signs, entered the ex-131 in the fast lane but going the wrong way, narrowly missing several motorists heading toward Porto Torres.

Luckily, he was intercepted by two trucks, which forced the driver to stop and make a U-turn to face the right direction, thus avoiding possible accidents.

It was a complex maneuver, as the vehicle was equipped with a rear undercarriage , which forced the driver to get out of the truck to assist the motorist during the maneuver. It happened near a location, between the towns of Li Pidriazzi and Li Lioni, which is often the scene of accidents.
