Alessandro Marongiu, the 40-year-old motorcyclist from Decimoputzu who was riding his two-wheeler on the provincial road 4 in Villasor on the night between November 17 and 18, died at Brotzu in Cagliari. For reasons yet to be ascertained, he lost control of the vehicle, ending up on the asphalt near the roundabout.

Marongiu was rushed to the hospital, in red code.

The doctors' intervention was useless. Marongiu did not make it. The injuries sustained in the accident were too serious.
