There would be "contradictions" and "inconsistencies" between the statements made when the violence was reported and what was verified by the investigators.

This is what emerges from the second hearing of the trial , which is celebrated in the court of Tempio , which sees Ciro Grillo, Beppe's son, and three of his Genoese friends , Francesco Corsiglia, Edoardo Capitta and Vittorio Lauria , accused of group sexual violence against two girls.

The first six witnesses cited by the prosecutor Gregorio Capasso appeared in front of the court presided over by Marco Contu (on the sidelines Nicola Bonante and Marcella Pinna): these are the Milan carabinieri who collected the complaint of one of the girls and the Genoa carabinieri who carried out searches and seizures in the homes of the four accused.

And, as mentioned, what the lawyers defending the accused boys define as "inconsistencies" have emerged.

"The trial is behind closed doors to protect all parties. We are talking about twenty-year-old boys who, if they turn out innocent, would be their victims ," declares Ciro Grillo's defender, Andrea Vernazza .

"It was a useful session, some of the statements in the file were confirmed, others not," commented Antonella Cuccureddu , Francesco Corsiglia's lawyer.

The defendants were not present in the courtroom, nor were the victims.

The investigation was born after the complaint filed by a young Italian-Norwegian , who accuses Grillo junior and his friends of raping her during the summer of 2019, in a villa in Porto Cervo , after an evening at the disco.

In the house there was also a friend of the girl, who would have been taken obscene photos during her sleep .

The four young men instead declare themselves innocent , claiming that the reports had been consenting .

The next hearing is set for July 6, with the hearing of other witnesses. There are 56 who will parade in the courtroom during the procedure, which will go on for no less than a year (the hearings have already been scheduled until 23 June 2023).

In the various hearings, the audios and videos seized from the smartphones of the boys and girls will also be played.
