Tragedy in a house in Sestu, in via Leopardi: a 76-year-old pensioner, Nicolò Spingola, was crushed by a wall of the house that he was demolishing with a pickaxe. The structure collapsed on him, crushing him and leaving him no escape.

The alarm was raised by the wife. Three ambulances arrived on the scene in a short time, including a medicalized vehicle, along with the carabinieri of the station, who carried out an inspection to reconstruct the incident.

Spingola suffered very serious injuries with subsequent hemorrhage: the attempt to save his life was useless. A tragic domestic accident: the body was immediately returned to the family.

The victim was a well-known person in Sestu: he ran a stationery shop in via Monserrato. Around 1 pm he decided to demolish the block wall that killed him.
