Bad weather bursts into the Sardinian summer with water bombs, hail and heavy rains

A large disturbance hit various areas of Sardinia this afternoon : lightning, hail and even water bombs.

From Cagliari to Seulo al Mandrolisai there are several flooded roads with some inconveniences. Tourists had to hurry off the beaches of the east coast, surprised by the sudden and passing storm.

In Monastir and Escolca the municipal road on the outskirts of the town and the provincial road to Gergei are also impassable due to the presence of mud and debris on the asphalt.

The state road 554 “Cagliaritana” was provisionally closed at the height of km 0.000, in Elmas, in the direction of SS195, due to the flooding of the road surface.

And there were also moments of fear in the afternoon when, in Piazzetta Savoia, the branch of a tree fell off and fell on the tables of a restaurant . You miraculously save two tourists who were just a few meters away. The branch has centered in full the umbrella under which the tables were located.

According to the meteorologists of the Decimomannu Air Force, the weather will be unstable until Saturday and will tend to improve gradually from Sunday onwards.
